Weekend quiz time

I've added some more quizzes at the bottom...

I was tempted to go back and re-do this quiz, but I thought y'all would enjoy the result I got.

Unicorn
You scored 20% Esotericism, 20% Power, and 24% Malevolence!
The unicorn is a legendary animal. It is usually portrayed as a slender, white horse with a spiraling horn on its forehead, although its appearance and behavior differs, depending on the location. In the west it was usually considered wild and untamable, while in the Orient it was peaceful, meek and thought to be the bringer of good luck. There it is usually depicted as a goat-like creature, with cloven hooves and a beard. In Japan it is called Kirin, and in China Ki-lin. The word "unicorn" is based on the Hebrew word re'em ("horned animal"), in early versions of the Old Testament translated as "monokeros", meaning "one horn", which became "unicorn" in English. The creature is possibly based on the rhinoceros or the narwhal, a marine creature with one horn.

Onions are bad

So, I had to go get arkieboy this weekend to bring him up here for an appointment to get the evaluation that the court ordered. So, I drive down to Arkansas Saturday (after going to my Weight-Watchers meeting - lost another 3 pounds, which brings me to a loss of 12.4 in twelve weeks, and 53 pounds since last year when the doctor told me I really needed to lose or risk full-blown diabetes and all the joys that come with that - and then to work for an hour, because after all, I am the only one who knows how to do my job, and a task had to be done and couldn't wait until I get back on Thursday), spend the night at my parents, and drive back Sunday with arkieboy. (I was in a hurry to get back home, so I didn't shower Sunday morning before heading out - which means I didn't wash my hair either, so not only was I not shower fresh, my hair looked bad.) We had went through the drive-through at a McDonald's, and I got the Big'N'Tasty, which comes with loaded with onions. So, after consuming that, I had major onion breath. Well, when I get to Fairview (about 30 miles from home) I pull off to get gas (it's cheaper there than it is in Franklin). After pumping my gas, I go in to get the free coffee that they give when you buy gas. I'm waiting in line, there's a cute guy waiting behind me. Arkieboy walks up and stands by me for a few minutes (and is wearing a shirt that has the name of the town he's living in, on it). After he walks off, cute guy asks if that's in Arkansas. I say yes, he talks to me for a minute. But I still have onion breath. Cuz you know, when you can smell your own breath, you KNOW it is bad! So, there I am, unclean, wearing slobby clothes (hell, I was just going to be driving!) hair needing a shampoo (I HAVE to wash my hair everyday or it looks bad), and possessing dragon-breath. No wonder I don't get asked out. *shrugs*

One of these days, I'm going to finally clue in to the fact that I need to take more care with my appearance, etc, all the time!

Did OKCupid just call me fat?

Snuffleupagus
You scored 56% Organization, 46% abstract, and 45% extroverted!
This test measured 3 variables.

First, this test measured how organized you are. Some muppets like Cookie Monster make big messes, while others like Bert are quite anal about things being clean.

Second, this test measured if you prefer a concrete or an abstract viewpoint. For the purposes of this test, concrete people are considered to gravitate more to mathematical and logical approaches, whereas abstract people are more the dreamers and artistic type.

Third, this test measured if you are more of an introvert or an extrovert. By definition, an introvert concentrates more on herself and an extrovert focuses more on others. In this test an introvert was somebody that either tends to spend more time alone or thinks more about herself.

You are somewhat organized, both concrete and abstract, and both introverted and extroverted.

I bet you didn't think you were Snuffleupagus. Let's find out why.

You are both somewhat organized. You have a good idea where you put things and you probably keep your place reasonably clean. You aren't totally obsessed with neatness though. Alloyius Snuffleupagus (and all Snuffleupagus') is not sloppy by nature, but he moves so incredibly slowly that it is impossible for him to be totally organized.

You both are about equally concrete and abstract thinkers. You have a good balance in your life. You know when to be logical at times, but you also aren't afraid to explore your dreams and desires... within limits of course. Snuffy generally has very basic interests, but he explores his abstract sensitive side when he plays his snuffleflute.

You both are somewhat introverted. Originally Snuffleupagus was very shy and was only Big Bird's invisible friend. However as he has aged he has started to build new friendships with new characters. Like Snuffy, you probably like to have some time to yourself. However, you do appreciate spending time with your friends, and you aren't scared of social situations.

The other possible characters are
Oscar the Grouch
Big Bird
Cookie Monster
Ernie
Elmo
Kermit the Frog
Grover
The Count
Guy Smiley
Bert

If you enjoyed this test, I would love the feedback! Also if you want to tell me your favorite Sesame Street character, I can total them up and post them here. Perhaps your choice will win!

ARGH!

OK, I try to give people the benefit of a doubt. And I do admire people who have the strength of their convictions, that they don't back down on their beliefs in the face of opposition. But that person at that place has just posted enough of pure drivel that even I have questioned him in a deep end post. So, now it's not a choice, but it's a result of environmental factors that people are gay?
WTF???

Let me grab a few of these thoughts

The other day, I was looking at some accounts for one of our facilities, and noticed a couple of the last names. OK, there are people with the last name of Black, Brown, White, Gray, Green... why don't you ever meet someone whose last name is Purple? or Yellow? Or Orange?
Does any one else ever wonder about weird stuff like that? BTW, I think I may just change my last name to Fuschia. *grin*

**************
My anti-socialness or my need for solitude (as I prefer to call it) came rushing to the front today at work. There's this one bookkeeper at one of our facilities in Arkansas that I always have a fun time with in our phone conversations. And we send a lot of snarky emails back and forth, and it's all just fun. She is transferring up here to the corporate office. She and her husband are renting a house in my sub-division. She will be living just a couple of blocks from me. She called me today, wanting to know my house number. She & hubby will be moving some stuff up this weekend, and said if hubby got on her nerves or she just needed a break, she might just come to visit. Here's the thing... I don't do "unexpected guests". For one thing, I don't always have the house clean. And if I'm having company, I want the house CLEAN. Seriously, if people just drop by, and my house is not 'company-ready', I won't let them in. I will step out on my porch and talk to them, but they are not coming in. I don't care if it's freezing outside. Plus, the weekends are my time to just chill out... Some weekends, I don't even get dressed. I don't step outside for even a minute. And for someone to say they "MIGHT" just drop by... EEEKKKK!

****************
Yay!!! When I stopped by the grocery store this evening on my way home from work (needed light bulbs and batteries), I went down the aisle for books & magazines. I will sometimes buy a book there (normally go to Barnes & Nobles so I can use my discount card). I see that the latest Katie MacAlister book, Blow Me Down, was out. Yay! I pick it up. Then I see that Lynsay Sands has a new one out. Then I see another one I want. So I put all the books down, go pay for my other items, and head back to Barnes & Nobles. I pick up the 2 I've already mentioned, plus one by Eileen Wilks. And yes, these are all *those* brain-rotting books.
Then I was so ill-mannered when I checked out... The male clerk (and before anyone gets excited on my behalf, he was young and rather dweebie) says they have a new policy - anyone who buys a book has to turn in a 10 page report. I laugh, say OK, yeah right... then point to the book on top, say "lots of sex", point to the next one, "lots of sex", point to the last one, "lots of sex", "Oh, and they all fall in love. There, that's my report." As I walked out, I thought, man, that was rather crude of me.

**************
I have a sticker I need to take to work.

"As you are standing here talking
to me, I want you to
understand that I will be making
fun of you as soon as you leave."

**************
In keeping that we are all DAWS... *points to links* I would like to call your attention to the link titled Arkie's writings. I know it's not Shakespeare or Frost or e.e.cummings, by no means, but I'm quite proud of some of it. Please note I said SOME of it. Others are so horrible, I should delete them, but I can't bring myself to do it. So, if you ever are just extremely bored, and need something to read for a few minutes, check it out.

Moody me

So many things racing through my mind, that I feel I need to say, but just don't know how to say.

So I will just say I *heart* you peeps. I have been on such an emotional roller coaster lately - things that shouldn't have upset me, that shouldn't have hurt my feelings, shouldn't have made me mad, did. And I can't blame it on PMS, because that doesn't last a month. If I've been distant, bitchy, moody, whatever, I'm sorry.

********************************************************

On another note...
To a friend that I haven't talked to in a long time - I miss you. I miss our chats in the bar. I miss our friendship. I hope you see this, and maybe think we can be friends again. What do you say?

I'm missing another friend, but I really don't think she reads my blog. But if by some chance she does, I miss Saturday nights. I'm sorry, I'm not always the most considerate person, and sometimes I am definitely the most INconsiderate person you will come across.

Personality quiz

This is a real test given by the Human Relations Dept. at many of the major corporations today, and, assuming the blog I stole this from is accurate, the test apparently was passed along by Dr. Phil on an episode of Oprah.

Now that you've answeredthe questions on paper, score yourself with this key:

POINTS:
1. (a) 2 (b) 4 (c) 6
2. (a) 6 (b) 4 (c) 7 (d) 2 (e) 1
3. (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 5 (d) 7 (e) 6
4. (a) 4 (b) 6 (c) 2 (d) 1
5. (a) 6 (b) 4 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 2
6. (a) 6 (b) 4 (c) 2
7. (a) 6 (b) 2 (c) 4
8. (a) 6 (b) 7 (c) 5 (d) 4 (e) 3 (f) 2 (g) 1
9. (a) 7 (b) 6 (c) 4 (d) 2 (e) 1
10. (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 6 (f) 1

Now add up the total number of points. Here's what your score says about you:

OVER 60 POINTS: Others see you as someone they should "handle with care." You're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is extremely dominant. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.

51 TO 60 POINTS: Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.

41 TO 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.

31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest.
Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over it if that trust is ever broken.

21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy.
They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.

UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions & who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some people think you're boring. Only those who know you well know that you aren't.

Dr. Phil says he scored a 55. Oprah Winfrey scored a 38. I scored a 46...where's my talk show??

What's your score?

Today's meme

1. What is a bigger pet peeve for you: someone trying to talk on a cell phone during a movie, a baby crying in a restaurant, a dog barking on your street, or music played loud enough to rattle windows.

2. What is your favorite cologne or perfume that you wear most often? Which one is the one you like the scent of, but don't wear often or at all?

3. In your opinion, what is the best way to tell someone you value how much they mean to you?

4. In the above post, there is a personality quiz: If you haven't taken it, please do; if you already have, how accurate were the results compared with your true personality.

5. When was the last time you feel you got as much sleep as you really needed in a single night?

6. If a stranger walked up to you and handed you a briefcase with enough money to pay off every debt you had down to the penny, do you think you could start from then on living debt-free?

click this

Edited to clarify that this *points down* is not my profile, it's something that I thought was cute and wanted to share with you all.

http://www.ebaumsworld.com/flash/moresexthanme.html

I tried to link my profile (in the comments in the post below this one), but apparently you can't get in to look at it unless you are a member. So here it is. Please, please, PLEASE! Be nice... I'm fragile, you know...

Introduction:
Hey, there!

So, I'm supposed to tell you what type of man I'd like to meet. I have a hard time coming up with a list of what you must and must not be and do, because different people have different qualities that make them attractive to me. Tall, short, slim, stocky... it doesn't come down to that. It's what I see when I look at your eyes, and your smile. You need to have a sense of humor -- to be able to laugh at the 3 Stooges, the skits on Saturday Night Live, Jon Stewart and David Letterman. I like to play pranks on people, and like to think I can take it as well. I love jokes, even risque ones as long as they are actually funny.

I hope you like music - I have a wide variety of tastes, ranging from classic rock to heavy metal to country (just a little of that, though - most of it makes my ears bleed) to pop to blues to oldies (50's & 60's) and even a little disco thrown in. (I only listen to disco music when dancing - I promise!) I love The Eagles, Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Matchbox 20...

Movies - yeah, I like chick flicks - I am a woman, after all. But I also like action flicks (the Die Hard trilogy, for example). I love comedies. I'm not really into horror movies too much - if you take me to one, I will spend the whole evening either covering my face with my hands, or burying my face in your shoulder.

What would you like to do on a first date?
Well, this is obviously going to depend on who my date is -- I would want us to do something we're both going to enjoy. Maybe a movie and going for coffee or a drink afterwards, so we can get to know each other better.

Why you should get to know me:
I am very big-hearted, and loyal to those I care about. Besides, I'm fun. *smile*
I have a lot of love to give to the right person.

I am a very good listener.

What have past relationships taught you?
You can't fake it. You've got to be yourself. Settling for what's there, instead of holding out for what you really want only leads to unhappiness and discontent for the both of you. You have to be there for the right reasons.

Describe some of the most important things in your life:
My son is one of the most important people in my life.
Love is important.
Honesty is important.
My friends are a very important part of my life.

Describe your perfect day:
An overcast day, maybe a light drizzle, and the two of us on an empty beach, just walking and talking. Then that evening, we watch a movie, drink some wine, and snuggle on the couch.

One final thing I'd like to mention...
I want someone with whom I can have comfortable silence.

I'm open to a long term relationship, but I'm also open to just being friends, and talking.

I'm well aware how lame it is, so you really don't need to say that... it's understood. Now y'all can see why I need your help so badly.

A little help, please

OK, so I've been on the dating site since February, and I've had a few contacts, but nothing has really come from any of them except making 2 friends. Friends are nice, but I want more. So I want to tweak my profile, but I suck at this kind of thing. So I want y'all to help me with it.

These are the questions I'm supposed to answer, to make myself really stand out to the guys.

Enter a greeting, and describe the type of person you'd like to meet.

What would you like to do on a first date?

Why you should get to know me:

What have past relationships taught you (be positive)?

Describe some of the most important things in your life:

How would you describe your perfect day?

Anything else you'd like to add?

I'm not going to tell you what my current answers are, because they are so lame, that I don't want to embarrass myself like that. I just don't know what to put on some of these. I mean, like the past relationships... I've only had one, and basically it taught me that my ex is a jerk, and you should run like hell when you come across a soul-vampire.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Aahhhhh!!

It was horrible! And what does it mean????

OK, I had the most gawd-awful dream last night. It was a very short dream (or I don't remember anything other than what I'm about to share). I was with my ex-husband. He is kissing me on the neck (and sucking on it too). Then he is kissing my shoulder. Then he goes to kiss me on the mouth, and my breath is so bad, he gets sick.

How horrible is this????

OK, you may all commence to laughing at my expense. *grin*

Miscellaneous things

Went to see Wallace & Grommitt: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit Friday when I got off work. Yes, I know, it's a children's flick, but I.LOVED.IT! I giggled so much through out the whole movie. It was cute, it was fun, and I enjoyed myself.

Went to Weight Watcher's this morning. Bad news: I didn't lose any weight. Good news: I didn't gain any, either.

I had to find a new stylist. My regular stylist was out on maternity leave the last time I got my hair cut/colored/highlighted, so I let one of the other women in her shop do it. It was fucked up. A couple of weeks ago, I was driving by where her shop is, and as I was passing it, I noticed that there was a For Lease sign in the window, and a couple of hand-written signs on poster-board stuck on the door. I was already past the turn-in, so I didn't stop to see what the signs said. Went by the next day, and the signs were already taken off, and the shop was empty. I don't know if she relocated, or just closed it or what. So, after the WW meeting this morning, I went into the salon that is next to WW's, to see if someone could give me a cut. I know the lighting is bad, but what do you think?

After the haircut, I decided to go to the movies again. This time, I went to see Domino. This is a total KICK-ASS movie! OMG, I loved it! And? I have a new pretend BF. And none of you ho's better dis him, or try to take him. *grin*

This? is Edgar Ramirez. I think he is SMOKIN' HOT! Cleaned up or scruffy... he does it for me!

Putting it here

instead of OT, because lord knows, I do NOT want to start one of those discussions. Plus, this will probably be very rambling and disjointed, and I'm not in the mood to be critiqued.

So, I was reading the cheerleader thresd, and I have these thoughts:

I hate that people feel the need to classify activities as gender specific, and if someone of the other gender wants to participate, that makes them gay. (I also hate that people in this day and age still feel that someone being gay means there is something wrong with them, that they are somehow less than the straight person. But this rant is more about the perceptions of what is acceptable for boys to do, and what is acceptable for girls to do.)

It just disgusts me to hear the generalizations of if a guy is a gymnast, cheerleader (or yell-leader), or ice skater, then he MUST be gay. And if a woman is athletic, well, she's obviously a lesbian. Or that certain ways of dressing signal your sexual predilection. I can remember when I was a teenager, people saying if a guy had his ear pierced, that meant he was gay. Then it became if it was a particular ear (never could remember if it was "left-gay, right-straight" or the other way around). Oh, look! She's wearing a flannel shirt... you know what that means, right?

And I have to be honest, I cringe every time I hear someone boasting of their "gaydar". What fucking difference does it make if someone is gay or straight? The only time I really care, is if it's a guy I'm attracted to. I mean, I would like to know that I'm out of the running completely, you know? The only time I would ever really need to know, would be if the person in question asked me to fix them up with someone.

Crap. I had all these ideas in my head that I wanted to get out, and now it's just one big jumble, and I can't remember if I even had a point to this, much less what it is.

And when ever I hear a kid say "that's so gay", I just want to smack them. I think I've done a good enough job with my son that he doesn't do that. Of course, who knows what he says when he's away from me, and wants to fit in with the other kids. That reminds me of my first OT peep meet, which was last year. I had to bring Clint with me. He had been making comments, using "gay" as derogatory, about other kids at school (and I know that's where he picked it up), and I would try to calmly point out how wrong that was. Well, when it was getting close to the peep meet, I told him that a couple of the people we were going to meet were gay, and he damn well better not say anything to embarrass me. That if he wanted to be ignorant like that, there wasn't much I could do to change it, but he would be polite or else. Having him meet Doc was one of the best things that I could have ever done, to help him realize that "gay" doesn't mean bad or wrong or anything. Doc was so cool, and talked with Clint one on one like he was an adult during the meal, which meant a lot to Clint. When we got back home, Clint wanted to read the boards, to see some of Doc's postings. He always asks me about him, if I've seen him on the boards, etc. Clint said he was "kind". That's pretty much his highest compliment that he gives out. I might say someone was nice, interesting, cool, whatever... but Clint? He says people are kind, if he likes them.

jonesing

for a new tattoo.

I want another one so bad. I enjoyed getting my first one. People said it would hurt. It didn't. In a strange way, it actually felt good. Of course, having a guy sitting behind me, basically being in the Vee of his legs for around 3 hours, felt good too. *evil grin*

Gawd, I want another one. But I can't decide what I want. The first one has some meaning to me, and some symbolism behind it. I don't want to be some tattoo snob, but I also don't want to get one just because I thought it was cute or whatever.

This? is my Pegasus. I took in three different drawings/illustrations of Pegasus' to the tat artist, and had him combine them into this. Please notice that it is a Pegasus, and not a unicorn. A Pegasus has wings, a unicorn has a horn. A unicorn can only be captured by a virgin, no virginity requirements for a Pegasus. You can find unicorn paraphernalia anywhere, Pegasus' are a bit harder to find. If you look up the definition of pegasus, this is what it says: n 1: (Greek mythology) immortal winged horse that sprang from the blood of the slain Medusa; was tamed by Bellerophon with the help of a bridle given him by Athena; as the flying horse of the Muses it is a symbol of high-flying imagination [syn: Pegasus, flying horse] 2: a constellation in the northern hemisphere near Andromeda and Pisces [syn: Pegasus] That's the meaning for me to have this particular tattoo. I think the image of pegasus' is beautiful, and it came from the death of something ugly (Medusa). I've been divorced for over 12 years now. I was in a really deep funk for most of that time, that really started the last year of my marriage, following the birth of my son. I have finally felt like I've come out of that ugly period, and it's dead, never to be revisited again. The pegasus is to remind me of that. That I am beautiful, and can soar above all the ugliness. It's a reminder not to let someone else suck the very life out of me. The other part of getting the tattoo is that I put it off for so many years, because of how others might perceive me because of having a tattoo. I finally realized that I have to live for myself. I have to like myself, and be proud of who I am. And other peoples conceptions (and misconceptions) of me cannot rule my life.

Anyway, since I put so much thought into this one, I would feel like I was cheating myself if I just went in with some generic image that meant nothing to me.

blog surfing

and found this...

Go to Google.

Type in "(your name) needs" and remember to use quotes.

Look at the 5 web sites that say you need something. Use different websites and see what 5 things you desperately need.

Here's what the world wide web thinks that I need:

1. Arkie needs a new nickname.
2. Guys, Arkie needs a hand here.
3. You should come outta the lavatory, Arkie needs it...
4. Arkie needs another major ice storm.
5. Arkie needs a buddy.

Then using my real first name (but putting Arkie back in here):
1. Well Arkie needs a cage of her own - one where she can make her nest for her babies and one where she can have some peace and quiet.
2. Arkie needs a loving home of her own where she can rest and relax and be taken care of herself.
3. Also MGs are intrinsically "not flash", so Arkie needs a real head turner.
4. Arkie needs to hear from you by Thursday.
5. Arkie needs a pair of those really nice boots.

because I've got nothing to say...

It's fun with quizzes time!

I am 51% Asshole/Bitch.
Sort of Assholy or Bitchy!
I am abrasive, some people really hate me, but there may be a group of other tight knit assholes and bitches that I can hang out with and get me. Everybody else? Fuck ‘em.

I am 36% Tortured Artist.
I know Art, I just don't live it.
I have some artistic ability, but it is probably a hobby and doesn't drive my life into a dark abysmal hole were I am alone and against the world.

I am 38% Evil Genius.
I Want to be Evil!
I want to be evil. I do evil things. But given the opportunity, and a darn good reason I may turn to the good side. Besides I am probably a miserable evil genius.

I am 23% White Trash.
Not at all White Trashy!
I, my friend, have class. I am so not white trash. . I am more than likely Democrat, and my place is neat, and there is a good chance I may never drink wine from a box.

I am 33% Promiscuous.
Active but Bored
Sure I have had sex, but what's the big deal? I find it as a chore to keep my realtionship balanced. But if I had a choice, I'd rather watch TV or paint dry.

Blow Me Fridays...

When I lived in Arkansas, the radio station I always listened to was Magic 105. The Outlaw Tommy Smith in the mornings. Every Friday was "Blow Me Friday". People would call in and tell whoever was pissing them off, to "BLOW ME". And Tommy would play this song, by Red Peters:

Blow me
You hardly even know me
just set yourself below me
and blow me... tonite.

a handy
would certainly be dandy
but it's not enough to slow me
you gotta blow me... allright.

when you part your lips that way
ooo... I want you night and day
when you squeeze my balls so tight
I wanna blow my load with all my might!!

so blow me
you hardly even know me
just set yourself below
you gotta blow me tonite

"Come on everybody!!!" (whole audience joins in)

Blow me
You hardly even know me
so blow me you gotta blow me
so blow me
Blow me tonite!

I miss that. Even if you didn't manage to get through, just shouting BLOW ME {insert name here} at the top of your lungs while driving in to work... just felt good!

Another Red Peters song he used to play...
How's your whole... family?
How's your whole... family?

How's your whole... family?

How's your whole... family? (How's your whole?)
How's your whole... family? (How's your whole?)

How's your whole... family? (How's your whole... family?)
How's your whole... family?

(spoken) "Prick!"

Lewd, crude, socially unacceptable, but funny as hell. Sometime this past year (or maybe it was the year before), they fired the Outlaw, and have gone back to just playing music in the mornings... No talk, except for the news blurbs, weather and traffic reports.

Intellectual snobs

should realize that they need stupid people around. How else will they measure their intellectual superiority?

A little psychological test.

1. Name your favorite animal and four words describing that animal.

2. Name your favorite color and four descriptive words for that color.

3. Name a body of water and four words that describe it.

4. You are in a totally white room, no doors, no windows. How do you feel?

I will tell you what it all stands for this evening. It only works if you give your first thought answers.

Whew!

Got my annual evaluation today. I was sweating this one so much. This last year, with everything going on with Arkieboy, and just everything else... I haven't been performing as well as I should have. As my boss told me today (and has said before, when we talked) that it's not been Freda in that office this past year. I haven't had the drive or dedication, and been rather nonchalant about everything. So, I only got a 3% pay raise. 4% is the most I could have gotten, and in the last 6 years (since I've been in the corporate office), this is the first time I have not gotten the most allowed.

That's part of the reason I haven't been on OT or on the blogs this past week until the evenings. I have GOT to get my ass in gear, and prove to my boss (and to myself) that I am worth every penny they pay me.

I did get a new title today, lol. I am now the "Medicare Goddess". I have been referred to as the Medicare guru, the Medicare Yoda, but I like the Goddess better. *grin*

word verification is fun!

What word verification have you gotten that just made you lol? I just got "ratcex" as mine. *grin*

Not a good day.

The exact opposite of a good day.

This is one of those days when I could really use a shoulder to cry on, and the person better have a towel and a dry shirt close by.

I did it.

I submitted pics to Boobiethon. And I'm kind of proud of myself for doing it. *grin*

There was a link posted on the dating service message boards about this.

*For Immediate Release: Bloggers bare all for breast cancer research!*October 1, 2005 --Boobies. Although they come in all shapes and sizes (large, small, saggy and perky), they have one thing in common: The ability to develop cancer.Even though there is no cure yet, the fourth annual Blogger Boobie-Thon is doing its part to make cancer a thing of the past. From October 1-8, bloggers from across the globe can submit pictures of bare and covered breasts to raise money for breast cancer causes.Founded in 2002 by Florida blogger Robyn Pollman (www.shutterblog.com,) the Boobie-Thon has grown into a well-known event, raising over $17,000 for breast cancer and blogger-charity causes, with over 1000 people contributing pictures. The event raised $8696 in 2004, with $455 going to a secondary charity: AIDS Rock the Walk. The rest of the donations go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.Featured in Self Magazine’s “Body Confidence Awards” in 2004, both founders and participants are hoping to generate exposure and donations for a worthy cause. In response to Hurricane Katrina, this year donors can choose to donate to either The Red Cross or the Komen Foundation. Both male and female bloggers can submit pictures of their breasts. The covered boobies are featured on the free area of the site. The price of viewing the bare breasts is $50, made payable to Komen or The Red Cross. A copy of an e-receipt is needed in order to gain the password to the “Not Safe for Work” portion of the site.We will be happy to assist you in finding participants to fit the angle of your story. For more information, visit the official website at http://www.boobiethon.com and/or contact Robyn, event coordinator, using this contact form.

So, would YOU submit a picture of your body to help raise funds to help with researching & finding a cure for breast cancer or to raise funds to help the hurricane victims? (Bearing in mind that your face would not be included in the photo, nor would your name?)
