Stinkerbelle goes this Friday to get spayed. I don't know why, but I feel so apprehensive about this. I hate the thought of leaving her there overnight. The thought of her having to sleep in some cage makes me want to cry. What is she going to feel when/if she wakes up around 5:00 in the morning and wants someone to pet her? (That's about the time she wakes me up each morning for attention.) I will probably be at the vet's office at the earliest time I can pick her up Saturday morning.
Have any of you ever traveled with your cat? DS wants to go to my parents' house for Thanksgiving. I asked my mom if I came, could I bring the cat? She said yes, which really surprised me because she hates having animals in the house. I'm not so sure how a five hour car trip is going to be with the kitty. Plus, the packing I'm going to have to do! Cat food, food dish, water dish, kitty litter & box (& scoop). Should I ask the vet for a sedative for her? Or should I look into boarding her for a few days? (But then I go back to having her sleeping in a cage and being lonely at night. Of course, she might prefer being away from us and around other animals.)

Today's lesson
I remember reading somewhere that you should try to learn something new each day. Well, today I learned I don't like goat cheese. *blech*

Work
I keep going back and forth in my mind if I should try for a change. I've been with this company for 20 years. I enjoy my job, and I'm damn good at it. I make good money, have good insurance, 4 weeks of vacation, a great boss. I just got my annual review. It went very well. So why would I want to change? I intensely dislike the others in my department. I know I'm there to do a job, not make friends. But, you know, when the sheer idiocy of others makes you want to scream and throw something at them, it's hard to maintain a semblance of professionalism. Those two just make me want to puke. I know that one of these days, the comments made under my breath are not going to be made as quietly as they should.
But I am excited about my job and one of my new "projects" that came from the annual review. It's going to be more work and more responsibility, but it should really help improve cash flow, and maybe, just maybe, I'll finally meet the goal we set of collecting 95% the following month.

Randomness
1. My cat totally owns me. I realized that during the night when she meowed at me because she wanted under the covers, and I lifted them up for her! She could have just as easily gotten under there without my assistance.
2. Yesterday evening when I left work, I realized when I got in my car that my jeans were unzipped. I have no idea how long they were unzipped. I hope my shirt hung down low enough to hide the fact.
3. I really think one of the newbies atOTCrazytown either needs to get over herself and realize it's just a message board, or leave. Someone really needs to tell this peep that you can't control how people are going to respond to your post. Sorry that no one focused on what *you* think we should have. And by we, I mean the people that replied, not me. I stay out of those threads for the most part.
4. I'm going to JC Penney in a few minutes. I need new towels and shoes.
5. I didn't take my medicine this morning. I've got to go do that right now.
Bye!

Some days...
I'm so glad today is Friday. I couldn't stand another day at work right now. I need to look in the handbook to see what kind of trouble I would get in if I told a co-worker to pull her head out of her ass and quit being so damn stupid. I would also like to tell her that her little attempt to make me look bad and herself look better failed,BIG.TIME.BITCH! First off, you stupid ass bitch, yes, you *CAN* update the physician's phone number without all that other information. That was a warning that popped up, but it allows you to save anyway. Gawd, you're so stupid! Secondly, don't fucking worry about what will fly on a UB or not. That's my area of concern, and it's already been covered.
In other news, I received a phone call from a head-hunter this morning. That's kind of ballsy, I think, to just call a company and ask for their (whatever job you're trying to fill), to see if that person would be interested. At least, I'm assuming it was a cold call. I don't think anyone would have given my name to someone. The job in question was in Chicago. Hell, I can't take the winters here. I sure couldn't deal with them in Chicago. Besides, even though I work with a total dumbass who keeps trying to make me look bad, I really do like my job.
As a matter of fact, in case there was any doubt, I ROCK at my job. I had to send out lists of accounts that must have claims filed by 12/31/07, or Medicare won't pay due to timely filing constraints. Naturally, I include the statement to call if any help is needed. One of the employees called, said she was behind, they were short one office member, and she just didn't think she would be able to get this done (in two and a half months). I researched all accounts, and handled all that I could (which was about 2/3's of the accounts) in about 3 1/2 hours.

1. 20 years is a long time. A very long time. Maybe I'm due for a change.
2. Thankfully, I don't have to be anywhere Saturday, so I plan on sleeping in.
3. I must learn to stay away from the computer when it's that time of the month, because that's when I'm easily angered.
4. I need a clever idea for my Halloween costume for work. I'm thinking about going as "Happy Bunny". I could just get some bunny ears, and a plain t-shirt, and use fabric paint to put some of my favorite HB sayings on it.
5. I'm really starting to get pissed at people. I'm having to restrain myself from sending "fuck you" emails.
6. The doc has put me on a new medicine - an injection called byetta. Mainly for the appetite control. Silly doc. It's the the appetite that's the problem. It's "boredom" eating, the "depressed" eating, and the eating when I'm not even hungry.
7. My Wizard of Oz doll set is no longer a set.

8. I need to get educated concerning hairballs. I'm not sure, but I think maybe Stinkerbelle has them, and I don't know if this is something to worry about, or just part of what a cat goes through.
9. I want a drink. I haven't had anything alcoholic since July (when arkieboy moved back home). Or maybe I need a cigarette. I haven't smoked in a really long time, and quit because I was tired of the sinus infection/sore throat thing I had going.
10. I'm reading a book titled "Dead Girls are Easy".
