Okay, not bad. You would not end up on TV with Leno if they were asking you questions...probably. You need a little brush up but not bad at all. Good Job!

Are you a smart or stupid American?

At least I know it should be "you're", not "your".

The West

Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta.

Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

Inland North

And yes, I do call it pop.

I'm smarter than 90% of Jerry Springer's guests, which makes me wonder about that other 10%. Since I cannot stand to even see five minutes of that program, how can they sit through an entire taping? I'll go do the other quiz now.

Inland North for me! I refuse to refer to soda as "pop."

You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."

Northeast for me.
83% smarter. I don't understand what I could have missed on the test?

Somehow I ended up being told that I talk like I'm from Boston. That totally cracks me up because I don't at all but would love more than anything to live in Boston.

Midland here, although I do speak a fair amount of Bawlamerese, hon.

I like the part about the good TV and radio voice. :D

My accent is the same as MM - The West. I'm a little troubled being referred to as the lowest common denominator.

I got 90% and don't think I missed any questions either.

Largest influences are The South and Philadelphia ~ they are tied with the most
Next are The West and The Inland North
Next is Boston
Last are North Central and The Northeast

A vast amount of American's* dont** know about any of their history. They dont** remember simple math. They dont** even know what the words they speak everyday mean.

* Americans
** don't

Now I will go and take the test this person has written in order to get an understanding of *my* intelligence level.
