.

I seem to have lost some of my sense of touch in my hands. Mostly my right hand. I can't really feel things in the fingertips of my first two fingers. I thought the loss was only in the fingertips until yesterday. I had went to the "Main Street Festival" yesterday, and had gotten something to eat from one of the food vendors. It was wrapped in foil and very hot. I was holding it and gradually became aware that it was burning my hand. Not like a serious burn, but it scared me that it took a minute or so for me to be aware of the burning feeling. Like it had to get past the first layer of skin for me to feel it. Or maybe my nerves are just slow in relaying the information? I don't know, but it worries me. I wonder if it's related to diabetes, or if this is something else. I haven't been taking my diabetes medicine like I'm supposed to, and I've quit monitoring my diet like I need to be doing. But I checked my FBS this morning, and it was only 107. According to the American Diabetes Association's website, that is still just "pre-diabetes".

I was going to ask if it was diabetes related.
*whack* start taking your medicine again. See if that helps to improve things. If not, get to your doctor. *shakes finger at Arkie*

I can't go to the doctor because I've gained some of my weight back. I've got to lose the re-gain, and then some extra, before I go back.

I second Carey's exercise in finger shaking. Get to your doctor.

Is it possibly carpal tunnel or pre carpal tunnel? I have it in my right hand, and my fingers are often numb.

Hi! I'm a friend of Woe and bounced off her site to yours... Fun to 'meet' her friends all interesting and fabulous people and I can't help but GO TO YOUR DOCTOR. He/she/it will chide you about the weight thing and all but you're expecting that and it's okay and all but YES, THIS IS SERIOUS. And yes, it may be related to diabetes. please?
