So, I went to the doctor last Friday. I weighed 305. Woo hoo! My pants are all loose and floppy. But I'm going to wait a few more months before I start buying any replacement clothes.
On the bad news side, apparently I'm suffering from an iron deficiency. After the lab work came back, I received a call from the nurse to let me know that the doc wants me to take iron sulfate(?) 3x a day, and he's increasing the dosage on one of the other meds - the thyroid one.

Arkie! Congrats on the weight loss! Woo Hoo! *high fives*
I'm sure they already told you--or you may have already found out-- but iron supplements are very constipating. Get your fiber on, girl.
*high fives back* Thanks!
It's funny, but on the information sheet for the iron, the possible side effects listed include constipation AND diarrhea.
Congrats Arkie! So proud of you.
What's the old saying? Constipation of the brain and diarrhea of the mouth?
Keep it up, girl!
Yes! Good job!
I have to take iron and yes I do have to make sure I get the fiber or it's not good.
You should see a remarkable difference in energy in a few weeks if you're iron was that low. I could barely stay awake at work and making dinner was a chore before I was diagnosed. *crosses fingers you'll see the same spike in energy!
Congrats on the weight loss, Arkie! It sounds like the manufacturer of the iron supplement is covering all their bases, with both diarhhea and constipation being listed as possible. I'm not sure which is worse, lol.
Wow, great job! I agree about waiting to buy clothes...it seemed I always jumped the gun just a tad too soon and didn't get to wear things for very long while I was still losing. It's been a while since I've needed to buy new clothes but hopefully soon...*sigh*
Keep it up and congrats!
Oh, well done, arkie! I have iron issues too. Vitamin C helps you absorb iron, so I take my supplements with orange juice.
Hey, I finished WWBC!
