These questions were all lifted from bookingthroughthursday.blogspot.com
Do you ever reread your books?
If so, which ones? If not, why not?
Do you read the books the whole way through or pick through for favorite scenes?
What qualifies a book for the reread pile?
Do you read non-fiction books for pleasure, not counting books required for courses or for work?
If so, what areas of non-fiction interest you the most? If not, why not?
What are some of your favorite books from those areas?
What is the most pristine, perfect book in your collection? The one that looks like it's never been opened (and in fact may never have been)? Whose binding is uncracked, the corners still perfect?
Why is that book so perfect? Was it a gift? Is it a coffee table book too beautiful to use? Something you simply have no interest in and haven't bothered to open?
What is most battered book in your collection? The one with loose pages, tattered corners, and page edges so soft that there's not even a risk of paper cuts anymore?
Why is this book so tattered? Is it that you love it so much that you've read it a zillion times? Is it a reference book you've used every day for the last seven years? Something your new puppy teethed on when you weren't looking?
Which book character(s) would you...
Like to have dinner with?
Believe would be the best to help you out in a crisis?
Like to ask for an autograph?
Most identify with personally?

I read the internet. I used to read a lot but these days I am lucky if I read two books a year. :(
I couldn't survive if I didn't have books to read.
So, I guess by posting this meme, I gave you something to read, so maybe I have a use now? *smooch*
I don't have time to do this today, but I will come back to it, oh yes I will!
I almost never reread books. My only exceptions are The Shining (Stephen King) which I have read twice, The Far Pavilions (E.M. Forrester), also twice. I have read many Shakespearean plays multiple times, especially Hamlet.
I rarely read non-fiction books. I will read non-fiction articles or magazine stories, usually on science, psychology & archeology.
I have a couple of unopened books given to me by people who thought this was something I "should" read. I will never read them. I try to give books like that away.
My most tattered book is The Cat in the Hat. My son with autism loved that book dearly so I read it to him at bedtime from the time he was 2 until he was about 10 or 11. I once made the mistake of reading it in a funny voice at hyperspeed. Then I had to do that every time after I read it at regular speed. Try reading Suess at hyperspeed. It is way fun but you may dislocated your tongue!
I would like to have dinner with Kay Scarpetta for dinner. She could make us some nice Italian.
Jamie Frasier would be the best help in a crisis.
I have no interest in autographs but I would say Stephen King. I have loved him since he was Richard Bachman.
I dunno who I most identify with.
I do reread books. I read several series, and when it's been some time between release dates, I will read the previous books right before the latest one comes out so I can refamiliarize myself with the characters. Other books, I read just because they're just fun. And some I do just read favorite scenes.
I rarely read non-fiction.
I have a few books that are in "pristine" condition. I read them once, and just haven't ever picked them back up.
I can't think of which book would be the most battered.
