It's an update

So, I had a pretty good weekend, if you discount almost passing out from the heat. Went to the ren. festival on Saturday. Damn, it was hot out. I had a reading with stones done. I don't truly believe in that stuff, but it's sometimes interesting, anyway. She did say a couple of things that I truly believe apply to me. Walked around for a few hours, had a beer, and then it was back to the car. This is were the almost passing out comes into play. I had to park very far away from the entrance (took almost 10-15 minutes to walk from the car to the gate). So, when it was time to leave, after I had spent 3 hours walking around, it was rough. I actually had to stop and sit down in the grass for about 10 minutes. Then when I got back up and started off again. It was taking me so long to walk back to the car, and the heat was sapping me of any energy I had. I started getting dizzy, and seeing spots. Luckily for me, this young guy was pulling out of the parking lot near where I was, and gave me a lift back to my car. It only took 2 minutes to drive to my car, but the way I was feeling, it would have took 30 minutes to walk. One of these days, maybe I will start using my brain, and not go somewhere that will require me to walk around outside when it's too hot.

Sunday, I went to the movies. I saw X-Men 3. (I looooove Hugh Jackman!) I also watched Over the Hedge. Went out to eat at Texas Roadhouse, which just opened here recently. I have finally found BBQ ribs that are worthy of the description "bone-sucking" good. The sauce they make is heavenly!!!! And the Jamaican Cowboy Margarita was quite tasty, too.

Monday, I stayed in. I had several new books, so I read and did laundry. And for the first time in a while, I folded and put away all of the laundry. Hell, I even took care of some of the laundry that's been piled up on the guest bed.

I keep waffling on taking the blog down. It's not like I ever have anything exciting to blog about. When I first started the blog, I had some issues I was dealing with, and needed the outlet. But those issues have been resolved, and I really don't feel like there's much of a purpose to this blog anymore.

I think I've decided on my next two or three tattoos. Don't know when I will be able to get them, but I'm pretty sure what they will be. I'm considering a dragon, a deer, and a smiley face. And maybe a cheetah or jaguar.

Hmmmmmm....I'd like a Jamaican Cowboy....

Please don't take the blog down. I like it. :-)

Don't de-blog, please.

I was thinking I might get a tat of a cactus on my ankle, or oobie. I'm tat-less.

I've never gone to that kind of a festival. Don't the peeps dress in some old-fashion dress. I bet they were hot.

Was the young guy hot?

The Jamaican Cowboy was delish! You really would like it, catt.

Yes, Lasann, they dress up in medieval costumes. I would hate to be the lady who dresses as the Queen. Her costume looks heavy.

As far as the young guy, he looked too much like a kid for me to consider his hotness rating.

So did you get his number?

And no, you can't take down your blog. *stomps foot*

arkie said...

No, I did not get his number. I think I may have been old enough to be this guy's mom. And while I do like younger guys, I don't like them that young.

re: the blog - like I said, I don't know that there's really a point to me keeping it. But I haven't really decided yet. When I do, I'll probably just delete it on the spur of the moment.

I hate hot weather so I really sympathize with your long walk back to the car. At least once you get there you can crank up the AC, (I assume your car has AC.)

My rule of thumb is, if the temps are over 85' and the activities are outside - count me out. I'll stay inside somewhere with AC.

It's your blog and you can do what you wanna do, but I would miss you.

Thankfully, this car *does* have AC. The car I was driving last year didn't. And to make it even more special, that car's windows wouldn't go down on the passenger's side.

About this blog waffling; may I get double the syrup. I never get enough syrup with my waffles.

*gives Carey syrup*

See? Now I would have groped the young guy, but that's just me.

Please put up more voice messages. They are a fun starting point to play 'Confuse the French Canadian.'

*frown* I hope you don't take the blog down completely. Even if you don't update often, I personally like knowing this is *your* space, where I can find out what you're up to, even if it's nothing new. Just think about it before hitting that button, ok?

*smooch*

And stay inside on hot days!

There you are! *smooch*

I like your blog. It is exactly that - it's YOUR blog. You should update it whenever you want about whatever you want. I think you told me that once or twice.

Sounds like a fun weekend.
Of course you can delete the blog whenever you like, but I would miss you. I like popping by to visit.

No don't de-blog! If you have nothing to say, just pop in to say hi once in awhile, even just once a month.

If you leave, I will be *pouting*

Now that your issues have been worked out, you can use the blog just for fun and we love having you around. Besides I know there are lots more dating site stories just waiting to happen or perhaps that you haven't told us about yet.

I couldn't do a tattoo, I hate needles. I got shot in the bum yesterday because of a sinus infection and thought i'd pass out before they actually stuck me. It wasn't too bad but I was good and sore for the rest of the day.

Keep the blog.

About the heat . . . it sucks, don't it?

I much prefer the cold.

Ben O.

Pass the bbq sauce, please.

I've always wanted to go to one of those festivals. Wouldn't want to do it in this heat though. *wipes brow*

I want to see Xmen III. Perhaps I can convince DH to take me this weekend.

It's your life and your blog. You should do whatever you want. If you do decide to take your blog down, I sure hope you'll continue to visit us in our blogs because I would miss you muchly.

I can understand the dragon tat and the smiley face tat but a deer tat? They are beautiful creatures though. A jaguar would be cool. Or, a black panther.

Proper BBQ is a gift from that gods, it's true.

Sorry to hear about your bad sun experience. The mom in me wants to make sure you remember to wear a hat when you're out in the sun.

There's a good girl.

I can't wait for X3 to come out on DVD. I loved the first 2. How was Kelsey Grammar? I wish Nightcrawler had been in it, though. Alan Cumming = total cutie.

Please don't remove your blog.

*passes around petition for Arkie to keep her blog*

If you take your blog down, I'm taking mine down.

*starts staring contest with Arkie*

arkie said...

Coco, Why do the voice messages confuse the French Canadian?

Seana, No, I don't wear a hat when I'm out in the sun. I'm not a hat person.

XMen 3 was really good, and I didn't realize that Kelsey Grammar was The Beast until almost the end of the movie.

Xmen III was awesome, we went and saw it last Saturday and we were just blown away. The writing and action were the best of the series.

Glad to see you're sticking around for a bit at least. *smooch*
