Quotes from my calendar

This year's calendar was "Wild Words From Wild Women".

These were some of my favorite quotes from it. I have to admit, I don't know who some of the women being quoted are. Maybe I'll look some of them up on the 'net and learn a little.

"There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who love chocolate, and communists." ~~Leslie Moak Murray, cartoonist

"You can't be brave if you've only had wonderful things happen to you." ~~ Mary Tyler Moore

"Reserve your right to think, for even to think wrongly is better than not to think at all." ~~Hypatia, world-famous mathematician circa A.D. 400

"Trouble is part of your life, and if you don't share it, you don't give the person who loves you a chance to love you enough." ~~ Dinah Shore

"If you want something in life, you have to go out and get it, because it's just not going to come over and kiss you on your lips." ~~ Renee Scroggins, musician

Let me help you out. Mary Tyler Moore is an actress. I hope that helped. *grin*

I knew that one. And I know who Dinah Shore is/was.

I looked her up. She also does greeting cards. They're quite funny. I wouldn't be surprised to learn I have bought some of her cards before, as that is the kind that appeals to me.

I just wanted to say thanks for my lovely gifts, Arkie. *smooches* My mother was sorely surprised that they weren't for her. LOL

"If women are supposed to be less rational and more emotional at the beginning of our menstrual cycle when the female hormone is at its lowest level, then why isn't it logical to say that, in those few days, women behave the most like the way men behave all month long?" - Gloria Steinem

You're very welcome, KL. Tell your mom I'm sorry. Next time, I'll throw in a little something for her, too. *smile*
